Job summary

Canonical is seeking an Associate Support Engineer to join our globally remote team. You will deliver expert technical support for Ubuntu across cloud, desktop, and IoT, handling cases end-to-end from qualification to resolution.

You’ll contribute to knowledge bases, draft notices, and collaborate with engineers to improve service quality. The role emphasizes learning, quick adaptation, and strong communication within a multicultural, distributed environment, with occasional weekend rotations

Qualifications

• Strong Linux troubleshooting experience, including collecting logs and stack traces.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or an equally compelling alternative narrative.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally twice a year for company events.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for employees from a remote home office.
• Take ownership of new cases via telephone, email, and web.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction by meeting SLA commitments.
• Update and contribute to knowledge base articles and notices.
• Participate in a regular weekend working rotation.
