Job summary

Remote Platform Engineer Linux role requires 5 years in IT and a Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience. The position entails certifying hardware platforms and interoperability across operating systems, while providing technical leadership for deployment and certification of software and hardware.

You will develop data architecture to support production systems, data science tools, and modeling efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in information technology.
• 1 year of IT engineering experience in an enterprise environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or related field or equivalent years of experience.
• Equivalent years of experience defined as 4 years of professional experience.
• Advanced knowledge of infrastructure technologies including services, platform technologies and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Certify multiple hardware platforms and interrelationship/interoperability of different operating systems and complex environments.
• Provide technical leadership and responsibility for installation and certification of all supporting software and hardware to assure a sound deployment basis for production implementations.
• Develop data architecture to support both the production system, and the backend data science and modeling tools.
• Recommends/designs structures and tools for systems which meet business needs taking into account target environment, performance security requirements and existing systems.
• Be willing to adjust schedule to perform maintenance and upgrades outside of business hours and be part of an on-call rotation.
