Manulife’s Life Underwriting Auditor role seeks an experienced professional to audit underwriting initiatives, assess decision quality, and ensure alignment with pricing, mortality assumptions, and regulatory standards. You will collaborate across underwriting, risk, and training teams to drive improvements.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in life insurance underwriting, with expertise in medical and financial underwriting.
• Strong understanding of life insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and risk selection principles.
• Ability to interpret complex medical and financial information and assess risk appropriately.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct post issue audits and monitoring of new underwriting initiatives to assess technical accuracy, guideline adherence, quality of underwriter decisioning.
• Review underwriting decisions for medical, financial, and operational soundness, ensuring alignment with guidelines, risk appetite, and mortality assumptions.
• Identify material errors, trends, and themes in audit results and prepare clear, structured reports and recommendations for management.
• Collaborate with Underwriting Management and Risk Management to develop and monitor CAPs and track remediation progress.
• Support the enhancement of the Underwriting Risk Control Framework, including control design, KRIs, and governance standards.
• Translate audit findings into targeted training, coaching, and guideline clarifications with Training & Development.
• Provide input into innovation initiatives by testing and evaluating impact on underwriting quality and risk.
• Assist with design and execution of Targeted audits for Underwriting Innovation initiatives.
• Ensure audit documentation is complete, accurate, and suitable for internal audit, governance committees, and regulatory review.
• Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement of audit frameworks, metrics, and reporting.
