Job summary

VeraSafe is a privacy and cybersecurity compliance consulting firm based in the United States, seeking lawyers with healthcare and life science experience for a remote role in our data protection and privacy practice. This is a fully remote position.

Qualifications

• At least three years of work experience as a lawyer.
• An interest in privacy and technology.
• Willingness to pursue privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM).

Responsibilities

• Leading the data protection aspects of a clinical trial from start to finish
• Assessing study protocols for privacy issues
• Reviewing CTAs, ICFs, and privacy policies
• Drafting data protection agreements, addenda, and amendments
• Researching legal issues and composing legal opinions/memoranda
• Writing clinical trials, GCP, and privacy law related articles and blog posts
• Assisting in the development of in-house legal templates
• Contributing to the development of internal procedures and methodologies
• Collaborating with a team of intellectual peers who value cooperation and community
