Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst for a remote EST-based 6+ month contract in the Life Sciences area. The role involves gathering requirements, gap analysis, and translating scientific workflows into actionable specifications.

You will use Jira to manage backlogs, create user stories, and drive Agile delivery while collaborating with scientists, chemists, IT, and data teams to ensure successful solution adoption.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Business Analyst experience.
• Experience gathering requirements and conducting gap analysis.
• Experience in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Drug Discovery, or Research organizations.
• Strong understanding of chemistry concepts and collaboration with medicinal chemists or discovery teams.
• Experience supporting preclinical research environments and scientific data initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate requirements gathering, workshops, and gap analysis with scientists, chemists, and stakeholders.
• Translate complex workflows into clear business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Create and maintain process maps, user stories, BRDs, and project documentation.
• Utilize Jira to manage requirements, track work items, support Agile delivery, and maintain visibility.
• Support initiatives involving preclinical data, including in vitro, animal studies, PK/PD, and toxicology datasets.
• Partner with IT, data, and business teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of solutions.
• Manage stakeholder communications across cross-functional scientific and technical teams.
