Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking a remote, 1099 independent-contractor life insurance sales professional to connect with families who requested coverage information. Manage conversations from first contact to completed application, entirely remotely, with mentorship from agency leadership.

Candidates should have phone sales experience, be comfortable with long discussions about coverage, and either hold a state life insurance license or plan to obtain one before selling.

Qualifications

• Experience selling by phone in inside sales or telesales.
• Willingness to obtain a state life insurance license if not already licensed.
• Comfortable with long conversations about serious topics and building rapport.

Responsibilities

• Make first contact with people who asked about coverage and schedule a longer conversation.
• Open with questions rather than a pitch to let the family talk.
• Present options by phone or video and complete the application in the same appointment.
• Keep several open cases moving and log calls and follow-ups in the CRM.
• Participate in team call reviews to improve technique.
