Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking self-motivated life insurance sales professionals to work remotely as independent contractors (1099). You’ll manage your own pipeline of leads, perform discovery conversations, quote through carrier tools, submit applications, and shepherd cases through underwriting to issuance or close.

A state license or plan to obtain one is required, with access to extensive carrier options.

Qualifications

• A track record of selling where results depend on your own work.
• Comfortable managing yourself without daily direction.
• Strong follow-up habits, because cases don't move without attention.
• A state life insurance license, or a plan to get licensed before your first sale.
• Comfortable using web-based quoting platforms and a CRM.
• At least 18 and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Work your own pipeline of people who requested life insurance information.
• Run discovery conversations before presenting, then match options to what you learn.
• Quote through carrier tools and submit applications during the client appointment.
• Chase each case through underwriting until it is issued or closed out.
• Keep CRM records clean so your pipeline is always accurate.
• Study carrier guidelines and state rules as they change.
