Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking a 100% remote, independent-contractor life insurance salesperson. In this role you will meet with families who requested information by phone or video, listen to their goals, break down options, and complete applications with underwriting in mind.

You will use a CRM, keep notes, and stay current with product changes. Success depends on teaching skills from education with a clear, respectful communication style.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching, coaching, or working in a school setting.
• Gift for explaining complicated ideas clearly without talking down to anyone.
• Comfortable planning your own schedule instead of following a bell.
• State life insurance license, or plan to get licensed before your first sale.
• Willing to learn a new regulated field from the ground up.
• At least 18 and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Meet by phone or video with people who've already asked about life insurance.
• Listen to the family's situation, goals, and worries.
• Break coverage options into plain language, then complete the application together.
• Follow each application through underwriting and keep families informed.
• Record notes and next steps in the CRM.
• Continue training as products and rules change.
