Job summary

AMSURG is seeking a License & Certification Specialist to support the provider credentialing department in a remote capacity. You will handle credentialing and re-credentialing for anesthesia and ASC providers, enroll and revalidate with payors, and communicate with licensing and federal agencies to enroll providers in Medicare.

The role requires strong PC skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting and completing Medicare 855B applications is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
• Typing proficiently and accurately while recording entries into licensure/certification databases.
• Ability to read, understand, and translate legalese and state statutes/regulations for stakeholders.
• Five years of credentialing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Credentialing and re-credentialing providers for anesthesia and ASC entities.
• Enrollment and revalidation with government and commercial payors.
• Contact with state licensing agencies and Medicare to enroll providers.
• Timely turnaround of credentialing information and federal projects.
• Maintain confidentiality and work within strict time frames.
• Coordinate with state/government agencies and legal representatives.
• Develop policies and procedures for the department.
• Support other projects with cross-team collaboration.
• Maintain regular attendance.
