Job summary

Landpoint, LLC is seeking a Licensed Surveyor/Staff Surveyor to join the Operations team in a flexible, remote-capable role. You will plan, perform, and oversee surveying work, coordinate projects with clients, and prepare survey documents and maps to professional standards.

Responsibilities include boundary, topographic, and construction surveys; ensuring data accuracy and regulatory compliance; and preparing reports, maps, and plats. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field preferred.
• Licensure in Louisiana is preferred.
• Experience in land surveying, including boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles, standards, and applicable laws.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble, and related surveying software.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Serve as primary contact for technical survey matters.
• Provide regular updates to clients on project progress.
• Conduct or oversee boundary, topographic, construction surveys.
• Ensure survey data accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Prepare survey reports, maps, plats, and related documents.
• Review survey data and deliverables for completeness and accuracy.
• Implement quality control procedures.
• Maintain accurate project records (field notes, calculations).
• Prepare and review survey reports, legal descriptions, and plats.
• Review progress and assist invoicing; coordinate with accounting.
• Communicate with clients about invoice questions.
• Identify issues and propose solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and surveying standards.
