Job summary

Focus and Balance Counseling Center in Henderson, Nevada is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for a mostly remote, full-time role. The counselor will assess clients, develop tailored therapy plans, and guide recovery with evidence-based interventions, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in a relevant field and current state licensure (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW), with at least four years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) to practice independently.
• At least four years of relevant clinical experience with diverse patient populations.
• Knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build therapeutic rapport.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments with new clients to understand mental health status.
• Develop individualized therapy plans with evidence-based interventions.
• Facilitate regular therapy sessions and provide tools to manage symptoms.
• Monitor progress and adapt therapies as needed and engage clients for feedback.
• Provide referrals to other healthcare professionals when needed.
• Document sessions and client interactions using EHR systems.
• Participate in team meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Stay updated on mental health research, therapeutic techniques, and regulatory changes.
