Job summary

Paragon Behavioral Health Center in Newark, NJ is seeking a licensed mental health professional to join as a full-time therapist. This remote role supports individuals, couples, and families using CBT and other evidence-based approaches.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, conduct assessments, provide crisis intervention, and maintain compliant documentation while supporting diverse client needs and continuous professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapies and assessment techniques.
• Experience delivering individual and group therapy to diverse clients.
• Strong communication and rapport-building skills.
• Familiarity with teletherapy and remote documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions such as CBT and solution-focused therapy for individuals, couples, and families.
• Facilitate support and psychoeducational groups.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other clinicians to coordinate care.
• Provide crisis intervention during emergencies.
• Educate clients on mental health conditions and resources.
• Maintain confidential documentation per legal/ethical standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and case consultations.
