Job summary

ABHS is seeking a Primary Therapist for full-time remote work in New Jersey, Clementon area. The role involves delivering clinical services to clients with mental health disorders, developing coping strategies, and maintaining caseload via weekly sessions. Expect 20–30 hours of direct care weekly with family contact.

The position requires licensure, strong documentation habits, and coordination with referrals. Flexible hours including some weekends may apply to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Associate licensed therapist required to practice.
• Fully licensed therapist preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assess the counseling needs of the client.
• Assessing client for substance abuse and mental health diagnosis using DSM, PHQ-9 and Columbia Scale criteria.
• Review previous records relevant to the current treatment episode.
• Prepare and provide the mental health counseling and co-occurring portions of the client treatment plan.
• Develop the client discharge/continuum of care plan to move to appropriate levels of care.
