Harbor seeks a Library and Research Analyst to join the Library and Research department. The Analyst will conduct legal research and retrieval tasks for Harbor's law firm clients using electronic resources and internal tools. This is a full-time, fully remote position that can be worked from anywhere in US or Canada.

Qualificações

• MLS and/or demonstrated research experience in a private law firm, academic law library, or research center
• 4-6 years' experience providing research in a private law firm, academic law library, or special library
• Experience with legal and business information resources, online database searching, and legal research procedures
• Experience using Lexis, Westlaw, and other standard legal research databases
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Responsabilidades

• Conducts legal, business, and other research and reference work using legal and non-legal resources
• Conducts reference interviews and distills results into clear reports
• Evaluates sources for currency, reliability, relevance, and cost-effectiveness
• Assists in instructing attorneys and staff in use of legal research tools
• Maintains proficiency across Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, Pacer and other resources
• Uses request tracking software to manage research requests
• Engages in ongoing professional development through library associations
