Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a Legal Intern to join our Legal Operations team. This paid, fully remote internship sits at the intersection of paralegal work and project management, supporting the US Legal Team and cross-functional partners across Compliance, Finance, and Operations.

You’ll gain hands-on exposure to lien processing, document review, trackers, and playbooks in a fast-growing fintech environment, with clear pathways for career growth and ownership.

Qualifications

• Legal foundation: currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Law, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field.
• Experience with US law firms or US legal teams is welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support US Legal Team with day-to-day requests.
• Review and analyze documents for validity, accuracy, and compliance.
• Draft lien documents and standard forms under supervision.
• Maintain electronic records of liens, contracts, and corporate docs.
• Assist with compliance audits by providing necessary docs.
• Stay updated on US laws and best practices.
