Roberts Markel Weinberg Butler Hailey PC is seeking an Intake Specialist for our Galleria office in Houston to initiate new matters, capture case data accurately, and support handoffs to attorneys and legal teams. The role requires strong administrative and legal tech skills, with collaboration across shareholders, associates and paralegals.

Compensation is based on experience and bonus eligibility is noted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar position, law firm experience strongly preferred.
• Strong administrative, legal technology and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Document Review & Research: review petitions, letters and client correspondence.
• Conflict Checks: perform conflict checks and communicate findings.
• Engagement Contracting: draft engagement letters and confirm client details and retainer terms.
• File & System Setup: gather data for Billing, set up channels and organize folders.
• Track retainer payments and follow up on engagement letters.
