Job summary

Illinois Legal Aid Online (ILAO) seeks a Legal Content Manager to maintain accurate, accessible Illinois legal information. You will lead the CIF program, supervise interns, and contribute to content strategy with cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities include publishing, researching, drafting and editing legal content, while using data to prioritize updates. ILAO emphasizes equity, remote work, and community impact across Illinois.

Qualifications

• J.D. and Illinois bar admission required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant legal practice or related legal experience.
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable resources.
• Strong writing and editing with close attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a shared content environment with cross-team collaboration.
• Willingness to learn new tools and adapt workflows.

Responsibilities

• Publish and maintain content in designated legal areas, collaborating with editors on structure and standards.
• Lead the Content Intern and Fellow (CIF) program and supervise students.
• Manage program data, reporting, and stakeholder communications.
• Collaborate with Product and Community Engagement on content delivery models.
• Participate in staff meetings and ARDEI activities.
• Support content team in maintaining, improving, and prioritizing content quality.
