Job summary

Harvard University’s Leave of Absence team at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health seeks a Leave of Absence Specialist to provide LOA support and case management to employees and managers across the Longwood campus.

You will interpret policies, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with FMLA, PFML, ADA, and disability processes. The role requires 5+ years in HR/leave management, a bachelor’s degree, and experience with PeopleSoft and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus relevant HR experience.
• 5+ years in human resources and leaves management.
• Knowledge of ADA, FMLA, PFML.
• Experience with PeopleSoft and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries about leaves and eligibility information.
• Provide end-to-end case management and guidance through the leave process.
• Coordinate with payroll, HR, and vendors during claims and return-to-work steps.
• Prepare leave communications and timely updates to stakeholders.
• Maintain LOA data, reports, and trends.
