Job summary

Machinify is seeking a Leave of Absence Manager to own end-to-end administration of all employee leave programs, including FMLA and state leaves, ADA accommodations, and company-provided policies. This role also supports benefits administration and cross-training within the Benefits team.

The ideal candidate combines deep leave-compliance expertise with the versatility to step into benefits administration as workload requires, supporting a remote workforce nationwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in leave of absence administration with direct ownership of FMLA, disability, and multi-state leave compliance.
• Knowledge of ADA interactive process requirements as they intersect with leave.
• Experience with payroll and third-party leave/disability administrators.
• Excellent judgment handling sensitive, confidential employee situations.

Responsibilities

• Administer all leave types (FMLA, state family/medical leave, PDL, ADA-related leave, military leave) ensuring compliance for a remote US workforce.
• Track eligibility, certifications, and entitlement balances across concurrent leaves.
• Manage intermittent and reduced-schedule leave requests with compliant time tracking.
• Coordinate with payroll and disability vendors to ensure accurate pay and return-to-work processes.
• Serve as primary contact for managers and employees navigating leave requests with confidentiality.
• Monitor state/federal changes affecting leave entitlements and update policies.
• Own leave-related recordkeeping, reporting, and audit readiness.
