Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager - Lease to lead a fixed asset and leasing accounting group. You will oversee staff, ensure timely financial reporting across divisions, and drive KPIs for the department.

The role focuses on lease accounting, close processes, and controls with minimal travel. Remote work is available nationwide (excludes Hawaii/territories); a strong background in GAAP/SOX and CoStar/Blackline is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years of finance or accounting experience.
• At least 1 year of experience leading projects, process improvements, and/or people.
• Advanced skills using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Prioritization/Organization/Multi-tasking in deadline-driven environments.
• Attention to Detail with accurate, thorough work.
• Strong Verbal & Written communications across audiences.
• Analytical with ability to dissect complex information.
• Independent thinking and proactive improvement ideas.

• GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge; cross-functional understanding.
• PeopleSoft GL experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to staff to ensure accurate and timely financial information delivery.
• Oversee month and quarter end close processes for leases.
• Manage lease journal entries in Blackline and related reconciliations.
• Coordinate CoStar exports for journal entries and SOX tie-out.
• Oversee fleet funding and lease payment tie-outs.
• Prepare quarterly rollforwards and schedule supports for Analytics Deck.
• Lead annual lease footnote preparation for 10-K disclosure.
• Oversee new lease classifications and loading into CoStar; perform workflow reviews.
• Handle lease extensions/terminations and maintenance in CoStar.
• Provide SME guidance on technical accounting in assigned area.
• Research lease accounting issues and drive resolution.
• Conduct tests of internal controls and financial analysis to flag issues.
• Review complex balance sheets and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups across locations.
