Job summary

St. Ambrose University seeks a Learning Experience Designer (LXD) to design and improve engaging courses across modalities. You will partner with faculty and subject matter experts to develop courses aligned with outcomes and accreditation standards.

The role supports LMS expansion and faculty development, collaborating across campuses to enhance teaching excellence and student success. Remote work is considered as part of a flexible arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Curriculum Development, Educational Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of teaching and learning, curriculum development, instructional design, or related area.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with instructors and subject matter experts to design and enhance courses using instructional strategies and educational technologies.
• Review courses to ensure quality, accessibility, compliance, and alignment with learning outcomes.
• Manage multiple course development projects and meet deadlines.
• Design and deliver faculty orientations, workshops, and training programs.
• Develop instructional resources, guides, and exemplars to support course design efforts.
• Provide LMS support and consultation to faculty across campuses and formats.
• Conduct course reviews and analyses to support student learning and program assessment.
