Job summary

Lumen seeks a Lean Portfolio Manager to lead portfolio strategy, governance, and execution across Product Infrastructure. You will align enterprise initiatives with corporate priorities, influence senior leaders, and drive investment decisions from concept through launch.

You will partner with Product Management, Engineering, Finance, and Operations to deliver roadmaps and governance that improve execution and business outcomes in a remote-ready environment within the United States.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Portfolio Management, Program Management, Product Management, Business Operations, or Strategy.
Experience managing large-scale, enterprise portfolios and cross-functional initiatives.
Strong financial acumen with experience coordinating investment inputs and translating analysis into executive recommendations.
Experience enabling executive leadership through strategic planning, portfolio governance, and executive reporting; not owning day-to-day operations.
Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment without direct authority.
Expertise in portfolio management methodologies, governance frameworks, and strategic planning.
Exceptional communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in telecommunications, technology, infrastructure, SaaS, networking, or related industries preferred.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed execution oversight.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise portfolio planning, prioritization, and governance across Product Infrastructure.
Create and manage portfolio roadmaps aligned with long-term strategy.
Facilitate executive decision-making through portfolio reviews and strategic trade-offs.
Develop portfolio health metrics, KPI dashboards, and executive reporting structures.
Coordinate business-case inputs with cross-functional partners to validate assumptions and financial impacts.
Lead NPI governance and coordinate development across gates and decision points.
Monitor benefits realization against approved business cases.
Provide portfolio-level oversight for complex programs spanning multiple organizations.
Partner with Product Managers to deliver governance, prioritization, and risk visibility.
Identify dependencies, risks, constraints, and resource needs.
Establish repeatable portfolio management practices, governance frameworks, and operating rhythms.
Drive continuous improvement to reduce cycle times and increase transparency.
Develop standards, templates, processes, and methodologies for portfolio management maturity.
Create and deliver executive briefings, leadership presentations, and strategic updates.
Support strategic planning and executive decision support for Product Infrastructure leadership.
