Job summary

Lumen is seeking a highly experienced Lean Portfolio Manager (remote within the United States) to lead portfolio strategy, governance, and execution for Product Infrastructure. You will align investments with corporate priorities, drive executive reporting, and partner with Finance, Engineering, and Operations to optimize outcomes.

You will enable teams to move strategic initiatives from concept to launch, manage risk visibility and resource alignment, and deliver measurable business results

Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership in Portfolio/Program/Product Management, Operations or Strategy.
• Experience managing large enterprise portfolios and cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong financial acumen; ability to validate assumptions and translate analysis into recommendations.
• Experience enabling executive leadership with strategic planning, governance, reporting, and cadence.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders without direct authority.
• Expertise in portfolio governance, strategic planning, and operating rhythms.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical judgment with ability to translate complex data into executive-ready insights.
• Experience in telecommunications, technology, infrastructure, SaaS, networking preferred.
• Balance strategic thinking with detailed execution oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise portfolio planning, prioritization, and governance across Product Infrastructure.
• Develop portfolio roadmaps aligned with long-term business and product strategy.
• Facilitate executive decision-making through portfolio reviews and analyses.
• Create portfolio health metrics, KPI dashboards, and executive reporting structures.
• Coordinate business-case inputs with cross-functional partners to validate financial impacts.
• Lead NPI governance and coordinate development across gates and decision points.
• Provide portfolio-level oversight for complex programs with multiple stakeholders.
• Partner with Product Managers to enable focus on strategy, outcomes, and roadmaps.
• Identify dependencies, risks, constraints, and resource requirements across initiatives.
• Establish repeatable portfolio management practices and governance frameworks.
• Develop standards, templates, and processes for portfolio maturity.
• Prepare executive-level materials for leadership reviews and SteerCo.
