Washington State Department of Health is seeking a Leader Development Experiences Manager to guide a team delivering leadership development initiatives across the state. You will model equity and foster growth, aligning with the agency's mission to protect and improve health for all in Washington.

You will design and implement innovative leadership programs, collaborate with agency leaders and external partners, and measure the impact on employee well‑being and performance.

Qualifications

• Two pathways to qualify: 5+ years leadership/organizational development OR a relevant degree plus 3+ years experience.
• Experience designing and delivering leadership or organizational development programs.
• Embed diversity, equity, inclusion into leadership models and people systems.
• Lead or support organizational change with cross‑partner alignment.
• Use metrics to measure program effectiveness and adjust strategy.
• Advise executives on people, culture, and leadership strategy.
• Collaborate across programs, divisions, or agencies for broad impact.
• Diagnose leadership gaps and design systemic solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the Leader Development Experience Team to design programs that build leadership competencies.
• Drive inclusive design with diverse groups to address leadership gaps and promote equity.
• Measure impact with metrics on satisfaction, engagement, and inclusiveness.
• Champion organizational change, aligning competencies with agency systems and goals.
• Collaborate across agencies to advance recruitment, diversity, and engagement efforts.
• Innovate and recommend policy changes; lead implementation to improve experiences.
• Contribute to EXP Leadership as part of the leadership team.
