Thought Pennies Entertainment is a fully remote RPG studio focused on emotional storytelling and innovative visuals. We seek a Lead VFX Artist to craft and implement impactful real-time effects for an epic-fantasy world, working in close partnership with the Art Director to shape the visual style and ensure it aligns with game design and performance goals.

Qualifications

• 4+ years game development experience with a strong focus on combat and environmental VFX.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Art Director to develop the game's visual effects style.
• Set the tone for VFX quality by creating high-quality, memorable, and impactful visual effects.
• Review milestone goals to plan all VFX deliverables, dates, and dependencies.
• Develop project-wide VFX pipelines across environment, character, cinematics, gameplay, and marketing.
• Coordinate with other departments to support their VFX needs and anticipate issues.
• Research and implement new industry tools, techniques, and methodologies to improve efficiency.
