Job summary

MorningSky Power is seeking a Manager, Development to lead the development of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across WECC and SPP markets in Colorado and beyond.

You will drive day-to-day project activities, manage landowner and stakeholder relationships, coordinate with internal and external partners, and support financings through due diligence and contract oversight. Up to 25% travel, hybrid work option.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience developing utility-scale solar PV or energy storage projects.
• Experience in WECC and SPP markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day development of multiple utility-scale solar and energy storage projects from site control through Notice to Proceed (NTP).
• Cultivate and manage landowner and stakeholder relationships, including negotiations to support advancement.
• Maintain project records, budgets, schedules, milestones, contracts, payments, and communications.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects moving.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate opportunities and address challenges toward milestones.
• Support financings and transactions by coordinating diligence and responding to investor/lender requests.
• Manage relationships with consultants, utilities, and partners to meet development objectives.
• Perform due diligence on new opportunities, including acquisitions and partnerships.
