Job summary

MorningSky Power is seeking a Manager, Development to lead the development of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across WECC and SPP, guiding day-to-day activities from site control through Notice to Proceed (NTP).

You will cultivate relationships with landowners, regulators, and stakeholders, manage records and budgets, and drive milestones while coordinating with investors and lenders during diligence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience developing utility-scale solar PV or energy storage projects.
• Relevant WECC and SPP market experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day development of multiple utility-scale solar and energy storage projects from site control through Notice to Proceed (NTP).
• Cultivate and manage relationships with landowners, community members, elected officials, regulators, and other key stakeholders, including negotiating agreements and resolving issues.
• Maintain accurate project records, budgets, schedules, contracts, payments, and stakeholder communications.
• Identify project risks, constraints, and critical path items, and develop strategies to advance projects while mitigating risk.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to evaluate project opportunities and progress milestones.
• Support project financings and transactions by coordinating diligence efforts and responding to information requests from investors and lenders.
• Negotiate and manage key project agreements, including land, development, consultant, and related contracts.
