Job summary

MorningSky Power is seeking a Manager, Development to drive the development of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects in the WECC and SPP pipeline. You will lead day-to-day activities from site control through Notice to Proceed, coordinating with internal and external partners to reach milestones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience developing utility-scale solar PV or energy storage projects.
• Experience in WECC and SPP markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day development of multiple utility-scale solar and energy storage projects from site control through NTP.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with landowners, officials, regulators, and stakeholders; negotiate agreements and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate project records, budgets, schedules, contracts, payments, and stakeholder communications.
• Identify risks and critical path items; develop strategies to advance projects while mitigating risk.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate opportunities and address development challenges.
• Support project financings and transactions by coordinating diligence and responding to investor/lender requests.
• Manage relationships with consultants, utilities, development partners, and other third parties.
• Perform due diligence on new project opportunities, including acquisitions and partnerships.
• Negotiate and manage key project agreements (land, development, consultant, etc.).
