Job summary

Intellum, a remote-first leader in corporate education technology, is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to own the reliability, scalability, and modernization of its platform infrastructure. This senior role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership across the Systems Engineering function.

You will drive containerized, multi-cloud infrastructure, improve CI/CD tooling, establish SLI/SLO practices, and mentor engineers while collaborating with Security and Engineering to maintain

Qualifications

• 8+ years building and operating production infrastructure.
• Experience with multi-cloud production environments (AWS or Google Cloud).
• Strong Linux administration and scripting (Ruby, Python).
• Production experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or similar tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure modernization initiatives toward containerized, portable infra.
• Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code across cloud providers.
• Improve CI/CD reliability and deployment tooling.
• Provide technical leadership across the Systems Engineering team.
• Establish and evolve SLI/SLO practices and monitoring.
• Lead during platform incidents and root cause analysis.
• Drive cloud cost visibility and cost-aware decisions.
• Improve developer experience with tooling and environments.
• Collaborate with Security and Engineering on access controls and secure practices.
• Identify risks and drive the technical roadmap.
• Mentor engineers and help build strong technical practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
