Job summary

GoDaddy is seeking a Lead Senior Site Reliability Engineer for its Global Storage Engineering team. You will design next-generation Ceph storage clusters and guide major platform upgrades for a globally distributed infrastructure that supports hosting, AI/HPC workloads, and OpenStack integrations.

You will mentor engineers in advanced Ceph design and ops, drive capacity planning, automation, and reliability practices while working remotely with occasional office visits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, operating, and scaling distributed storage platforms.
• Hands-on ownership of production Ceph environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect large-scale Ceph clusters with CRUSH topology and data placement.
• Lead capacity planning across 80+ production clusters and 300 PB raw storage.
• Own platform upgrades, migrations, and OpenStack integrations.
• Drive incident resolution across storage, network, and compute layers.
