Job summary

Launching Point is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for a fully remote role in the United States. You will provide technical leadership across core subsystems of our simulation software platform and guide architectural decisions to deliver complex features with autonomy.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in CS, 5 years of desktop development experience, and proficiency in modern C/C++ (C14+), Visual Studio 2019+, and MFC for Windows UI.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
5 years of desktop software development experience, preferably in simulation.
Proficiency in C/C++ (C14+).
Experience building Windows applications with Visual Studio 2019+.
Experience with MFC for Windows UI.
Experience with object serialization (XML/JSON).
Experience applying ML to simulation.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership across core subsystems of the simulation software platform.
Guide architectural decisions and champion modern engineering practices.
Lead delivery of complex features with strong ownership.
Safeguard long-term health of the codebase and maintain quality.
Operate with significant autonomy as a domain expert.
