Henderson Group Recruiting is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for a fully remote role. You will provide technical leadership across core subsystems of a simulation software platform, guiding architectural decisions and championing modern engineering practices.

You will lead the delivery of complex features and safeguard the long-term health of the codebase with significant autonomy. The position emphasizes expertise in desktop software development, C/C++, and Windows UI work using Visual Studio

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
5 years of desktop software development experience.
Experience with MODFLOW, MT3D or related contamination transport modeling.
Proficiency in C (C14 or later).
Experience with Windows applications using Visual Studio (2019 or later).
Familiarity with Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) for Windows UI development.
Experience with object serialization and structured data formats (XML, JSON).

Responsibilities
