Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to provide technical leadership across simulation software platforms. You will guide architectural decisions, champion modern engineering practices, and deliver complex features with autonomy.

The role requires deep hands-on proficiency in C/C++, Windows apps with Visual Studio, MFC UI, and experience with XML/JSON serialization; ML applications to simulation are a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
5 years of desktop software development experience, ideally from a simulation software background.
Proficiency in modern C (C14 or later).
Experience developing Windows applications with Visual Studio (2019 or later).
Familiarity with Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) for Windows UI development.
Experience with object serialization and structured data formats (e.g., XML, JSON)
Applying ML to simulation

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership across core subsystems for a simulation software platform.
Guide architectural decisions and champion modern engineering practices.
Lead the delivery of complex features and safeguard codebase health.
