Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to provide technical leadership across a mid-size simulation program. You will oversee software design, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment while guiding developers and managing priorities to meet program objectives.

This hybrid role requires 3 days in the office and 2 days remote weekly, with a TS clearance preferred. You will collaborate across teams to deliver secure, scalable simulation solutions that meet architecture

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS, SWE, CE, or related field.
• Top Secret Clearance.
• Experience in software design, development, integration, and testing.
• Experience leading software teams and cross-functional coordination.
• Strong communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead software design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
• Provide day-to-day technical leadership and team coordination.
• Plan and prioritize tasks to meet cost, schedule, performance, and quality goals.
• Translate requirements into architectures and implementation plans.
• Ensure software products are secure, maintainable, and scalable.
• Coordinate with systems engineering, cybersecurity, and program management.
