Knowesis Inc. seeks a Lead Scientific Review Manager to join BRAES, providing enterprise-level scientific leadership and oversight of peer review activities. This senior role directs SRMs across Program Task Orders and collaborates with the Scientific Director.

The position emphasizes policy consistency, staff mentorship, workload monitoring, and stakeholder engagement, with remote work and occasional travel in the MD/USA region.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, or equivalent doctoral degree in a biomedical, clinical, or related scientific discipline.
• Significant progressively responsible experience in scientific peer review, biomedical research evaluation, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience leading scientific or technical professionals in a complex, matrixed environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of peer review processes, including criteria, panel composition, conflicts of interest, confidentiality, and quality standards.

Responsabilités

• Provide scientific leadership and oversight of peer review activities across BRAES.
• Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to Scientific Review Managers supporting Task Orders.
• Promote consistent implementation of peer review policies, review criteria, conflicts of interest and confidentiality requirements.
• Monitor scientific review workload, capacity, schedules, and performance across Task Orders.
• Provide senior-level guidance on complex, cross-program peer review issues.
• Monitor peer review quality and performance; identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead scientific peer review process improvement, quality control, and standardization initiatives.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, guidance, training, and quality standards; coordinate with leadership and Task Order management.
