Job summary

University of Chicago Medicine is seeking a Team Lead, Revenue Cycle Charge Master (CDM) to direct the Revenue Integrity CDM team in a fully remote capacity. You will oversee coding updates, pricing alignment, and compliance audits while mentoring a small team of analysts.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in hospital CDM analysis, strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and experience with Epic CDM tools. Certification in Epic CDM is preferred and expected within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Healthcare Administration/related field.
• 3+ years hospital CDM analyst experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, charge capture and reimbursement methods.
• Epic CDM Analyst certification preferred, required within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day CDM team operations, assigning and reviewing work related to charge code additions, changes, and deactivations.
• Oversee annual and ad-hoc pricing updates, ensuring alignment with charge master strategy and payer requirements.
• Train new team members and monitor task productivity.
• Monitor updates from Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers to prevent compliance risks.
• Perform regular audits of the CDM to identify outdated codes, missing prices, or incorrect modifiers.
