Job summary

UCI Health is seeking an experienced Charge Description Master Manager to oversee inpatient and outpatient charging, including room, board, pharmacy, DME, SOS 22 and ambulatory services. You will drive charge capture, rate analysis, and alignment of hospital vs physician charges while coordinating with Revenue Cycle and IT teams.

Required: minimum 3 years in CDM management within a large health system and CPC certification; strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and payer policies, plus

Qualifications

• Effective collaboration with health system personnel at all levels.
• Ad hoc technical report writing and data conversion in multiple formats.
• Conversion of master files into departmental reports.
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care and commercial payer requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Advanced computer knowledge and MS Office experience.
• 3+ years CDM management in a large health system; CPC preferred.
• 3+ years chargemaster management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Charge Description Master for inpatient and outpatient charges across care areas.
• Lead charge capture development, rate analysis, and alignment of hospital to physician charges.
• Serve as liaison for institutional charge application and regulatory guidelines.
