Job summary

SWCA Environmental Consultants seeks a Lead Restoration Engineer to lead ecological restoration projects in Houston, TX, with hybrid-eligible work arrangements from Houston or Baton Rouge offices. Remote candidates may be considered. Travel to field sites will be required.

The role focuses on stream/wetland restoration, watershed planning, hydraulic modeling, and erosion control design, with leadership across project teams and client relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or Louisiana, or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
• Six (6) years of relevant, progressively responsible experience in ecological restoration engineering, including some experience managing others.
• Prior work experience in either Texas or Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Project Leadership: Strategically consults on and leads complex projects in pursuit of client objectives, overseeing the technical approach and ensuring quality assurance and quality control.

• Project Accountability: Guides projects, executing accountability for performance and ensuring milestones are met.
• Business Growth & Innovation: Drives business growth through technical excellence and development of new methods and standards.
• Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Champions collaboration with specialists to provide comprehensive technical support.
