Job summary

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a Senior Restoration Engineer to contribute to our ecological restoration practice in the Pacific Northwest and support projects across the U.S. The role requires expertise in river restoration, hydraulics, hydrology, and AutoCAD Civil 3D, with potential travel to Corvallis, Oregon.

Hybrid work arrangements are available. Ideal candidates will have eight+ years of experience, PE license in Oregon or ability by comity, and strong GIS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, environmental, or coastal engineering, or related)
• PE license in Oregon or ability to obtain by comity
• Minimum of eight years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience with HEC-RAS and other hydraulic/hydrologic modeling tools
• Experience developing ecological restoration and fish passage design construction plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, multis disciplinary projects and guide teams to meet client objectives and SWCA standards
• Act as a technical leader and trusted consultant, developing innovative solutions
• Deliver exceptional client service and build strong client relationships
• Provide technical oversight across project lifecycles, manage risks, scope, schedule, and budget
• Mentor staff and share knowledge across disciplines
• Contribute to SWCA's technical reputation by advancing methods and standards
• Foster cross-disciplinary collaboration across regions to deliver integrated solutions
