Job summary

WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services firm, seeks a Lead Professional, Project Controls for the PCI sector. This role offers remote work nationwide in the United States and focuses on establishing control structures, forecasting, and reporting to meet client objectives.

You will mentor controls staff, develop SOPs, and prepare executive dashboards while coordinating with project managers, executives, and partners to ensure accurate, timely performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, finance, or related discipline.
• 7–10 years of post-education experience in project controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including macros, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and complex data models.
• Demonstrated ability to lead proposal project control efforts across multi‑phase or multidisciplinary programs.
• Strong analytical skills to identify proposal performance trends, issues, and cost/schedule risks; excellent written and verbal communication for executive reports.
• Familiarity with fixed price, cost-plus, and time‑and‑materials contracting models.
• Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional teams and ability to build consensus.
• Ability to review and improve control workflows and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the setup of control structures, folders, file shares, and documentation repositories for new initiatives.
• Oversee bid and proposal audits and compliance checks with documentation standards.
• Prepare high-level dashboards and executive summaries; mentor project controls staff.
• Develop SOPs, templates, and control strategies applicable across regions.
• Support business development with cost models and staffing projections.
• Coordinate across internal departments and external partners to ensure reporting consistency.
• Represent project controls in leadership meetings and client presentations.
• Track lessons learned to evolve best practices in controls.
• Ensure timely maintenance of project records and audit trails.
• Adhere to Code of Conduct and company policies.
