Job summary

Caraway Home is seeking an experienced Associate Director, Product Safety & Compliance to build our product compliance function from the ground up and own the Caraway Promise, a testing-obsessed, transparency-first approach to product safety.

You will lead the full compliance lifecycle across cookware, bakeware, small appliances, food contact materials, textiles, and packaging, partnering with labs and Asia-based suppliers to scale compliance globally while ensuring clear, consumer-friendly

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of product safety, regulatory compliance, or quality assurance experience in consumer goods.
• Deep knowledge of food contact material regulations including FDA 21 CFR, LFGB, EU REACH, CA Prop 65, and retailer requirements.
• Experience building compliance programs, managing labs, and coordinating with suppliers and labs across regions.

Responsibilities

• Define and champion a testing-obsessed compliance program.
• Build and manage Caraway's product safety and compliance framework across all categories.
• Lead regulatory compliance monitoring US and international standards.
• Oversee labs, testing scope, and cadence to avoid launch delays.
• Own claims substantiation and liaison with Marketing and Legal.
