Caraway Home seeks an experienced Associate Director of Product Safety & Compliance to build and own our Caraway Promise of transparency and safety across cookware, bakeware, and more.

You will lead frameworks, lab partnerships, testing strategy, and supplier diligence to ensure global standards are met as the first dedicated compliance hire. The role reports to the Director of Product Development.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product safety, regulatory compliance in consumer goods.
• Experience with food contact materials, cookware or kitchen appliances.
• Fluency with FDA/CF Regulation, LFGB, EU 1935/2004, REACH, Prop 65, AB 1200, and related standards.
• Proven ability to build and manage compliance programs and lab relationships in Asia.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Materials Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Define and champion a testing-obsessed, transparency-first approach to product safety.
• Build Caraway's product safety and compliance program across all product categories.
• Own US and international regulatory compliance, including timelines and change management.
• Lead lab relationships, testing strategy, and supplier audits.
• Own claims substantiation and collaborate with Marketing on compliant messaging.
• Conduct supply chain compliance diligence and CAPA processes.
• Serve as internal SME and primary contact for retailers and regulators.
• Oversee product incident management and regulatory reporting readiness.
