Job summary

Hadron Energy, Inc. invites a Lead Probabilistic Risk Assessment Engineer to drive the PRA program for Halo Micro Modular Reactor development. This remote role requires deep nuclear risk expertise to inform licensing strategies, reactor design, and safety analyses throughout the development lifecycle.

You will coordinate with designers, safety analysts, and regulators, shaping risk-informed decisions and ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations in the United States.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years in PRA, nuclear safety analysis, or risk-informed licensing.
  • Experience developing and maintaining nuclear PRA models.
  • Familiarity with NRC risk-informed regulatory frameworks and licensing guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead PRA program development, maintenance, and execution across projects.
  • Develop Level 1/2 analyses and risk-informed safety evaluations for design/licensing.
  • Perform event tree, fault tree, reliability, and uncertainty analyses.
  • Identify SSCs and provide risk-informed design recommendations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to embed risk insights in reactor architecture and safety systems.
  • Support risk-informed licensing strategies and regulatory submittals.
  • Prepare PRA methodologies and reports for NRC interactions and licensing.
  • Interface with safety analysts, licensing engineers, and regulatory stakeholders.
