Job summary

Freedom Fertility Pharmacy, a division of Evernorth Health Services within The Cigna Group, is hiring a Lead Pharmacy Technician for a remote role based in Arizona. You will lead technicians, coordinate workflow, coach staff, and ensure quality in fertility medications and patient guidance.

The role requires AZ license, 2+ years experience, and strong Excel/MS Office proficiency, with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement. Remote work with flexible schedule and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years Pharmacy Technician work experience.
• Valid AZ Pharmacy technician license and national certification.
• Experience with Script Med system.
• Experience with coaching or mentoring a plus.
• Ability to resolve escalations using good judgement and decision making skills.
• Deep understanding of the Pharmacy Technician process.
• Basic Math skills and Strong experience with MS Office, especially with Excel.
• Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment to learn quickly, solve problems, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to self-direct, multi-task, be accountable, approachable, and organized.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor daily workflow in the pharmacy.
• Lead team huddles and provide initial coaching and direction to pharmacy technicians.
• Interact with healthcare providers and provide guidance to patients about medication coverage.
• Support and train new employees.
• Conduct quality and productivity audits
• Identify ongoing training and retraining opportunities on team.
• Create, modify, and adhere to SOP/SWI.
• Cross trained in multiple areas while maintaining proficiency and accuracy.
• Act as a champion of continuous improvement efforts for team, site, and work stream.
• Juggle multiple tasks without sacrificing attention to detail.
