Job summary

Evolution Industries seeks a Senior Engineer to head our engineering team and own the technical side for LVL and engineered wood products. This remote, US-based role reports directly to the CEO and requires deep hands-on experience with LVL, glulam, I-joists or CLT, plus proficiency with building code evaluation reports.

You will set technical standards, publish design guides and test data, lead external engineers, and drive quality and deadlines without committees.

Qualifications

Active US PE license (civil or structural) and a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
7+ years of hands-on structural or engineered wood products experience.
Direct experience with the building code evaluation report process from application to renewal.
Design guides, span tables or technical literature you wrote that customers have used.
Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Leading and directing our engineering team, including outside and contract engineers, and setting the standard for how we publish structural data.
Overseeing our building code evaluation reports: new applications, reviewer responses, renewals and supplements.
Developing design guides, span tables and technical bulletins for our Engineered Wood Products.
Managing test data and design values with third-party labs and deriving published values.
Providing technical support for distributors and designers.
