Job summary
Weyerhaeuser seeks a Senior New Product Development Engineer to lead the evaluation, development, validation, and commercialization of new wood-based products. You will align engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams to drive project success with rigorous problem-solving and customer insight.
The role is fully remote for candidates in specified U.S. states, with responsibilities spanning concept evaluation, testing, launch readiness, and post-launch improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing, Wood Science, Forest Products or related discipline.
- Professional Engineer license required.
- 7–10 years of progressively responsible engineering experience in product development or related field.
Responsibilities
- Lead evaluation, development, validation, and commercialization of new wood-based products.
- Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across engineering, manufacturing, sales, and partners.
- Develop specifications, analyses, prototypes, and test methods with measurable criteria.
- Ensure safety, quality, compliance, and sustainability throughout development.
- Support commercialization with technical documentation and training.
