Job summary
Weyerhaeuser seeks a Senior New Product Development Engineer to drive evaluation, development, validation, and commercialization of innovative wood-based products. You will provide technical leadership across global teams, guiding concepts from problem definition to launch readiness while ensuring safety, quality, and sustainability.
A PE license and 7–10 years of experience are required. This is a remote role based in the United States.
Qualifications
- Experience across multiple product-development stages: opportunity assessment, requirements, design analysis, prototyping, testing, validation, field evaluation, commercialization.
- Proven ability to lead complex engineering projects and coordinate teams.
- Emphasis on safety, integrity, inclusion, sustainability, quality, and responsible use of digital/AI tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead evaluation, development, validation, and commercialization of new wood-based products and applications.
- Provide senior engineering leadership from problem definition through testing and launch readiness.
- Coordinate testing with internal teams, suppliers, and partners; ensure thorough documentation.
