Job summary

St. Jude is seeking a Lead Payroll Analyst to enhance payroll operations through analytics, compliance, and continuous improvement. You will partner with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to strengthen controls, reporting, and employee support services.

The role involves auditing, payroll variance analysis, and implementing dashboard-driven improvements while maintaining strong internal controls across multi-state payroll environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, finance, or related field; master's preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience with general ledger and related financial information systems.
  • Experience supporting payroll operations, compliance reporting, auditing, and payroll-related analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee audits by external auditors and prepare audit schedules.
  • Reconcile and analyze complex accounts per policy and deadlines.
  • Prepare and maintain supporting documentation and financial statements.
  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual reports with cross-functional teams.
  • Track key metrics, oversee reporting dashboards, and highlight issues to senior management.
  • Drive payroll process improvements and controls in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local filings.
