Job summary

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking a Lead Payroll Analyst to support payroll operations through compliance reporting, auditing, analytics, and process improvement.

You will develop reporting and KPIs, collaborate with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to strengthen payroll processes and internal controls, and mentor team members where applicable. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, auditing, finance, or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with a general ledger and financial systems.
• Experience with payroll operations, compliance reporting, auditing, and payroll analytics.
• Advanced Excel and payroll reporting skills, including dashboards and KPIs.
• Professional certification such as FPC or CPP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee coordination of annual Internal Controls and Financial Statement audits with external auditors.
• Reconcile and analyze complex accounts in compliance with policy and deadlines.
• Prepare and maintain detailed supporting documentation and financial statements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
• Track key metrics, oversee reporting dashboards, and raise issues to senior management.
• Develop and implement payroll-related policies to improve efficiency and controls.
