Job summary

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience designing and operating large-scale, low-latency search/retrieval systems.
• Deep ML systems experience including production inference and model optimization.
• Strong distributed-systems expertise across performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Solid information-retrieval foundations with lexical, semantic, vector, or hybrid retrieval.
• Track record setting cross-organization technical direction and delivering through teams.
• Good product and technical judgment to prioritize investments by value.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-quality agentic search systems with focus on latency, throughput, and scalability.
• Set long-term architecture and roadmap for online retrieval, index serving, and ML inference.
• Establish ML production practices including evaluation, rollout, and incident response.
• Advance production inference for embedding, retrieval, and ranking models with optimization.
• Lead initiatives across teams, mentor engineers, and align leaders to long-term direction.
